Dental veneers are a simple way to repair crooked, chipped, or misshapen teeth. They can also be used to cover stained teeth and smooth out an uneven smile.

Our veneers are made of porcelain and are custom-fitted to your teeth. The process of fitting and bonding veneers to your teeth can be completed in as little as 2 visits.

About Dental Veneers

A veneer is a thin shell placed over the front of a tooth to repair damage or for cosmetic reasons. Porcelain veneers are our preferred choice because they generally last longer than composite veneers, and they don’t stain.

Getting a Veneer

Our porcelain veneers are placed in 2 separate appointments.

In the first appointment, your dentist will remove a thin layer of enamel from the tooth in question to make room for the veneer. They will make a mould that will be used to craft your veneer and may fit you with a temporary veneer to wear between appointments.

In your second appointment, the veneer will be attached to your tooth, and your dentist will check for its fit.

Caring for Your Veneers

You’ll want to keep up good oral hygiene habits and treat your veneers like your natural teeth.

Be sure to avoid grinding your teeth since this can cause the porcelain to chip. And contact your dentist right away if your veneer breaks or becomes dislodged.

Not every person (or every tooth) is the right candidate for a veneer. For example:

  • A patient with untreated gum disease near the affected tooth must address their gum disease first.
  • A tooth that doesn’t have enamel left may not be able to support a veneer.
  • A person who grinds their teeth may break their porcelain veneers.

When too much of the tooth is missing, a crown may be a better option.
