Solea Laser Dentistry

What Types of Procedures Can Be Done with Solea Laser Dentistry?

We perform most of our dental procedures using the Solea dental laser, from cavities to oral surgery. 2 exceptions are root canals and endodontic surgery.

Learn About Solea

The Solea dental laser is great for kids. It’s faster, doesn’t usually need anesthetic, and we don’t have to use the drill for cavities or a scalpel for gum surgery. Your child won’t be numb after, so they can eat and drink right after their appointment.

Learn More About Children’s Dentistry

Solea is safe for pregnant patients. Plus, there’s no anesthesia required for most procedures.

Yes, it’s safe. Solea is a medical device that has been cleared by Health Canada to cut enamel, gums, and bone. All you need to do is wear protective eyewear that we’ll provide during your appointment. Learn more about Solea laser technology.

General Dentistry Questions

Is It Important to Have an Oral Infection Treated?

Any uncomfortable new oral symptom is a good reason to book an appointment with your dentist. A bad infection in your mouth, like a tooth abscess, can lead to serious complications throughout your body.

If you have severe pain, please see us for an emergency dental appointment as soon as possible.

Contact us for an emergency dental appointment right away if you have a tooth that’s knocked out. A tooth can often be saved if it’s replaced in its socket soon, though after 2 hours, success is much less likely.

On your way to seeking medical care, you can care for your tooth by taking the following steps:

  • Only handle the tooth by the crown (not the root)
  • Rinse it gently to avoid scratching it
  • Insert it back into your mouth, if possible, or hold it between your gums and cheek to protect it

Your gums should never bleed. Bleeding gums when you brush your teeth is a common sign of gum disease. Don’t ignore bleeding gums, as gum disease can lead to loose teeth, bad breath, or even tooth loss.

Yes! We are accepting new patients, and we’d love to meet you and your family. We invite you to book your appointment today.
